Monroe are a London based songwriting duo whose hearts and musical influences lie in America. A chance meeting while auditioning for the same band lead to an instant connection and songwriting partnership which has taken them to some of London and New York's most prestigious venues.
Their passion for songwriting and love of performing has lead to touring, residencies, radio and TV appearances on both sides of the Atlantic.
Working with composer Michael Price on an independent film shown at the Cannes film festival gave Monroe the ambition to work within the film and TV industry.
Thier song 'Empty' was used in an idependent film made for Channel 4 in the UK, this was also shown at the Cannes and the Sundance film festival. Touring in the US and UK gave them the chance to perform on British television and get air time on BBC radio as well as many indepentent radio stations the United States.
Their song 'Pieces of Me' was heard by LA producer Sandy Robertson, this lead to them getting the opportunity to record with Rodger Greenawalt in Brooklyn, the song was picked up by the New York film academy who jumped at the chance to make a music video which can be seen on their Youtube Channel.
Monroe's catchy hooks and beautiful harmonies combined with folk-rooted vocals create a sound that is as familiar as it is new.
